Conference Venue
The MetaQuantM 2026 conference will take place in Cargèse, Corsica, France, at the Institute of Scientific Studies (IESC). Founded in the 1960s, the institute hosts scientific events year-round and is located at the entrance of Cargèse, a village of 800 inhabitants on Corsica’s west coast, about 50 km north of Ajaccio. Beaches are located in the vicinity of the Institute and on the opposite side of the village. Corsica is an island in the Mediterranean Sea, 150 km south of the French coast and offers beautiful landscapes and historical landmarks.
Accommodation
- On-site housing includes:
- 26 double rooms
- A studio
- An apartment (2–4 persons)
- A villa (2–6 persons)
- Two rooms are fully accessible for persons with reduced mobility
- Additional lodging is available in Cargèse village (studios to 4-bedroom apartments)
- Several hotels are available in the village. Participants who wish to stay in a hotel are responsible for arranging their own reservations directly.
- A 20-minute walk is required between the village and the institute—bring sturdy shoes and a flashlight for night walks.
Meals
- Breakfast and lunch are provided at the institute
- Dinner is self-organised by participants
- Mandatory lunch fee: €14 per lunch for all registered participants, regardless of accommodation location
Transportation to Cargèse
Arrival by Air
- Ajaccio Napoléon Bonaparte Airport is the only recommended arrival point
- Avoid Figari Airport due to high taxi costs (~€300) and long travel times
Shuttle Service
- Shuttle buses from Ajaccio Airport to the institute will be arranged
- Return shuttles will be available on the final day
Alternative Transport
- Taxi from Ajaccio: ~€120 (day) or ~€160 (night)
